Dr. Victor Sherman graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Biochemistry. He attended medical school at the Universidad de Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico, and did his residency at New York Medical College Metropolitan Hospital EM program, New York City, where he was the chief resident. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and has practiced in Northern NM since the completion of his residency.
Emergency medicine is often considered the frontlines of medical care and Dr. Sherman was drawn to the field because he wanted to be able to treat a diverse group of patients and illnesses. He has worked in the ER departments of area hospitals and is known for his calm, professional demeanor and compassion for his patients. He enjoys being active and can often be found outdoors climbing, skiing or mountain biking.
Dr. Troy Watson began his career as a medic in the United States Navy and has spent more than 30 years in the medical field. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a BS in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. He attended medical school at the Universidad de Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico and at NY Medical College where he was valedictorian. He went on to complete a residency in Rural and Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico, the 2nd highest ranked program in the US. He is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Watson was raised in a rural community in Northeast Indiana and has spent the majority of his career serving rural populations throughout New Mexico and the Southwest. He is passionate about making a difference in the lives of his patients and highly values the community aspect of medicine. He enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid mountain climber.
Dr. Maria Teresa Ramirez
Dr. Maria Teresa Ramirez was born and raised in Mexico City. She attended medical school at La Salle University and went on to specialize in obstetrics & gynecology at The National Institute of Perinatology. She moved to the United States in 2001 and trained at the Family and Preventive Medicine Program of Oklahoma University. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the NM Medical Society and The North American Menopause Society.
Dr. Ramirez joined the staff of Railyard Urgent Care in February of 2015. Her areas of expertise include small surgical procedures; women’s health; asthma and COPD management; geriatrics; and aesthetic medicine. She lives in Santa Fe with her husband and four children and enjoys cooking and traveling.
Roy Addington, DNP, FNP-BC
Roy Addington has enjoyed caring for athletes, soldiers, children, their parents, and grandparents for over 20-years. He has been a Family Nurse Practitioner in family practice, emergency medicine and urgent care clinics from Kandahar to Leadville. His BSN ’95) and MSN (’98) are from University of Northern Colorado. Patient access to high quality care motivated him to pursue his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado (’08). As an assistant professor at University of New Mexico, he was able to explore his philosophy of humane, accessible patient care with graduate nursing students in the nurse practitioner and nurse midwifery programs. When not focused on patient care, Dr. Addington is exploring the world around him with the love of his life.
Mark H. Stevens, FNP-BC

Mark Stevens chose to make Santa Fe home after living in diverse locations including; Boston MA, Annapolis MD, Beaufort North Carolina, the US Virgin Islands, Seattle WA and Las Vegas NV. Clinical experience includes emergency and intensive care medicine, Urgent Care and Primary Care. Graduating from East Carolina University in 2004 with a Masters in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner he maintains board certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center. In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Teresa, riding horses, motorcycles and bicycles. Together they have a popcorn store and are developing a destination riding “glamping” ranch and horse motel. Grateful for great friends and family, Mark makes sure patients are cared for like family.
