Flu Season 2018

According to the New Mexico Department of Health, the 2018 flu season is the worst New Mexico has seen in at least five years. As of mid-February, there were 34 flu-related deaths in the state and 100 pneumonia-related deaths.

The end of the flu season varies from year to year but generally lasts from Oct. 1 until the end of March. It can sometimes drag into May. Consult your doctor if you think you may have the flu, and check out these videos from Dr. Troy Watson for this season’s flu tips.
